SO FIRST I SORT OF STARED AT IT FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES.

Then I started reading. I'm on Jon's first chapter currently. Stannis YOU'RE BEING A DICK, STOP IT! NO ONE WANTS YOU AS THEIR KING ANYWAYS Also I got so confused at first because I forgot this ran parallel to AFFC so I was all like HEY HOW DID SAM GET BACK TO THE WALL SO FAST! AND WHY IS AEMON ALIVE???

--just starting Bran's first chapter, yay! I'm dying to know who Cold Hands is, I hope we find that out in this book. All this chapter revealed was that he is "Bran's monster" Also smh @ melisandre stealing ygritte's line

And it's Quentyn Martell. Or was this already confirmed? I don't remember. Anyways I'm excited to read this. I love the Martells sfm

Jon just told Gilly that she had to leave her baby behind and take Dalla's. He was so harsh, he's totally finally becoming a badass and actually doing something. Yay Jon!

Oh Davos. I love you so much. You are like the poor man's Ned Stark and I really hope you get out of this alive. Excited for his next chapter tbh. Davos grows on me every time I read his chapters. I found him boring at first but not anymore. He's just so good that I can't help but like him.

Now onto Jon again. Mance Rayder just died. I honestly thought Jon would find some way to stop that but I guess not. Fuck you Melisandre, you're just crazy. Although I can't wait to get to her POV chapters!

Ser Barristan telling Dany how he got out of Westeros was badass. I'm glad GRRM put that in there, it was something I really wanted to know! Dragons are all chained up..that can't be good. I just don't think that will end well.

Ok so I feel really bad for Theon now. I knew I was going to but FUCK. Also I wonder if he is going to say anything about fake Arya?

k so onto Davos 3. THOSE LYING FREY RAT BASTARDS. THIS WHOLE FUCKING PASSAGE IS MAKING ME SO MAD

“Not even the men who slew your son?” Davos pointed. “These Freys were amongst his hosts at the Red Wedding.” One of the Freys stepped forward, a knight long and lean of limb, clean-shaved but for a grey mustache as thin as a Myrish stiletto. “The Red Wedding was the Young Wolf’s work. He changed into a beast before our eyes and tore out the throat of my cousin Jinglebell, a harmless simpleton. He would have slain my lord father too, if Ser Wendel had not put himself in the way.” Lord Wyman blinked back tears. “Wendel was always a brave boy. I was not surprised to learn he died a hero.” The enormity of the lie made Davos gasp. “Is it your claim that Robb Stark killed Wendel Manderly?” he asked the Frey. “And many more. Mine own son Tytos was amongst them, and my daughter’s husband. When Stark changed into a wolf, his northmen did the same. The mark of the beast was on them all. Wargs birth other wargs with a bite, it is well-known. It was all my brothers and I could do to put them down before they slew us all.” The man was smirking

I did not think it was possible for me to hate the Freys more than I already did.

Oh shit Jeyne Poole is fake Arya. I knew it! I want to cry for her, poor girl.

Ok so clearly a lot of stuff happened since I last posted but I woke up not too long after not enough sleep and I'm too tired to type it out hahaha. Just starting up Davos's last chapter in the book and praying to the old gods and the new that he does not die!

Also the way that Asha's chapter ended had me double checking she didn't die. I didn't think so because I'm used to Martin ending on those sorts of cliffhangers (when Sandor hits Arya with the axe, anyone?) BUT STILL HAD TO MAKE SURE OK

Davos is not dead!! So happy about that! And apparently Lord Manderly is sending him after Rickon. I presume it's Rickon. Or wait actually I think it may be Bran, if Davos is scared to go there. I would not want to go beyond The Wall either. Either way, AWESOME.
